Jackson Death and Media War

Even the foundations of newsprint itself were shaken by the death of Michael Jackson. New media and tabloids started reaping cash while the mainstream press was saddled with the hard job of finding out which reports are true. “This is random people throwing things up against the wall to see what sticks,” Campbell Brown tells Broadcasting & Cable. “There’s all kinds of misinformation out there."
YouTube, iTunes, and TMZ also profited from the incident and trustworthy Jackson sources found themselves lucky with more jobs.
What a crazy world.
